Permanent Fishbowl: Cities of the world, unite!

This is a "permanent Fishbowl" panel discussion that will take place all day long to participants to share and reflect what they have learned throughout the days.

It will kick-off with the following topic:

Dangerous liaisons? Sowing seeds of shared culture to connect local changemakers and global institutions

How do global urban agendas and international frameworks (e.g. Habitat III, Susutainable Development Goals) connect on a local scale to practitioners and projects aligned to achieve similar goals? How are these relationships defined and facilitated? Is it easy to combine the agendas of actors which are so different - in terms of size, needs and operational processes - but who are both investing to achieve the same impact? During this session we aim to identify the challenges of this complex relationship: How are these relationships currently framed? How are they built in a day-to-day basis? What can we learn from past experiences? What aspects should be redefined, and how are they defined? During this session we aim to explore all these questions and more with a group of featured attendees from both groups - change makers and members of international organizations.
