Born in Aix-en-Provence, Julien Tchernia is a deep-down entrepreneur who succeeded in developing many companies. After a rich carreer in Brittany, Poland, Belgium, Italy and Burgundy as a telecoms engineer, he managed to grow businesses in narrow branches, on highly competitive markets. In 2007, he went into renewable energy, based on his belief that business development can grow together with fighting against climate change. Indeed, to pursue his goal, he decided to put an end to his carreer in telecoms in order to attend training courses in energy at the Ecole des Mines in Paris. He then started to work for industrials in this field, and yet, he still aspired to be an entrepreneur. Which he finally becomes in November 2015 by joining forces with Jonathan Martelli to found ekWateur, a company they funded with their own equity.
