Renata Lajas
Municipality of Lisbon - Deputy Mayor's office
Adviser - Urban Engineer & Transport Planner
Lisbon
I'm an Urban Engineer & Transport Planner with 10 years expertise in diverse work ecosystems.
I've done research for 3 years and lived abroad in the Netherlands where I've worked for Local Government and NGO. For 7 years now I'm advising the Deputy Mayors Office of Lisbon’s Municipality in the areas of Mobility, Housing and Local Development Policy, where I work also as project manager, grant proposal writer and Data Analyst. I'm also Lisbon’s Local Leader for the implementation of the "Citizen Engagement" WP of a 25 Mio€ European project: "Sharing Cities" in the area of Smart Cities: Mobility & Energy.
People are at the center of my work and their needs are embedded on the projects I manage, the implementation of measures I coordinate at the public administration, city and local community level, and at the problems I solve everyday.
In my B-side, I love sports (after 10 years of semi-professional indoor football practice, my SUP board is now part of my balance); I'm a Lisbon guide by Tuk-Tuk; a Couchsurfer Host in Lisbon and I run two IPhone documentary films in my free time.
