After completed a Ph.D. in Sociology at Paris Descartes-Sorbonne University (2008), she was offered a Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Critical Health Research Group (2009-11) at the Simone de Beauvoir Institute at Concordia University in Montreal. She has conducted research on a project focusing on Canadian women’s discursive constructions of the body and health in the context of the predominant obesity discourses.

In France, since 2013, she has more specifically looked into why girls (14-19) who live in poor neighbourhoods, doesn’t want to practice physical activities.

She also works with associations/NGO who want to develop leadership and empowerment in sport program for underprivileged populations and girls/women in particular. A pilot program, is about to begin in September. Collaborators, partners and sponsors are very welcome.
